The AALAS National Meeting is the largest gathering in the world of professionals concerned with the production, care, and use of laboratory animals.  During the five days of the meeting, members and nonmembers come together to enjoy the workshops, lectures, poster sessions, and exhibits. The program is designed to have topics relevant to the entire membership. Members of the North Carolina Dental Society go above and beyond professional requirements. This year we celebrate the 161st anniversary of the NCDS at the Kingston Plantation Resort in Myrtle Beach SC.  The theme for our meeting is "Shaping the Future Together".  The founders of the NCDS laid the groundwork for successfully shaping the future of organized dentistry in North Carolina.  Dr. Brad Adams, our Annual Session Chair, and his committee have put together a FANTASTIC meeting this year.

IAHCSMM 2017 Annual Conference & Expo

IAHCSMM is currently in the planning stages of the 2017 IAHCSMM Annual Conference & Expo, to be held in Nashville, TN, May 7-10, 2017. IAHCSMM Annual Conferences provide attendees with resources needed to elevate their knowledge and promote ongoing quality and professionalism within their department.

NCAHRMM 2017 Spring Conference

The North Carolina Association of Healthcare Resource and Materials Management is dedicated to the advocacy and advancement of the healthcare supply chain management profession.

The vision of the NCAHRMM is to empower our members with effective tools to meet the challenges of healthcare through continuing education, career development, recognition, and rewards. NCAHRMM seeks to foster an environment of communication focused on promoting our profession by raising the standards of healthcare supply chain management.

The 2017 Spring Conference will be held at The Hilton Wilmington Riverside.

The North Carolina Association for Hospital Central Service Professionals (NCAHCSP) will hold its annual seminar on April 26th, 27th, and 28th at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  The NCAHCSP is a non-profit organization.  This meeting will include an exhibit feature on April 27th, directed toward technology, products, supplies and equipment used in routine patient care, either directly prior to or after assembly by Central Service.

The Laboratory Design Conference

Since 2002, the Laboratory Design Conference has provided a dynamic educational and networking event for those involved in planning, designing, engineering, constructing and operating laboratory facilities. Meeting sessions feature recognized experts delivering unique presentations on trends in creating the most efficient, state-of-the-art facilities.

Held each spring, the conference also marks the official announcement of the Laboratory of the Year winners, with in-depth discussions by the winning project teams.

Tours of exemplary lab facilities, including those to which attendees would not otherwise have access, are an integral part of the overall Lab Design Conference experience.

Credits for presentations are available through the American Institute of Architects as well as the Green Building Certification Institute, and are also offered as general CEUs for non-AIA/GBCI members.

Scheduled simultaneously with the conference, the Laboratory Design expo allows attendees to learn about companies offering relevant products and services to the laboratory design industry. Social gatherings provide plenty of opportunity for relaxation and networking.

The South Carolina Society for Hospital Engineers (SCSHE) is a personal membership group that leads the state in providing resources and trying opportunities for hospital engineers, facility managers, and all persons involved in everyday operations and maintenance of the sate's hospitals and medical centers.  Hospital engineers are responsible for maintaining the circulatory and respiratory systems of health care facilities.  They must be knowledgeable concerning federal and state laws and regulations, as well as local building codes developed to protect patients, staff and visitors.  These are constantly changing, creating the need for continuing education.
